If not, then this is the place for you! Hell, even if you have been Stung by The Stinger, I think you will find some of the facts on this page interesting! Sting was born in Omaha, Nebraska. When he was about 5, he and his family moved to Southern Cali. Before he got into wrestling, Sting (Steve Borden)was going to be an actor. As some of us know, Mr. Borden was in a very small movie, called "The Real Reason (Men Commit Crimes). As he said, "No more romantic comedies for me,". All I can say is, GOOD! While the movie was good and I liked it, I just didn't think that it was the best The Stinger could do. I hate to upset anyone else out there (I was wicked upset when I found this out), but from what I know, it seems like Mr.Borden is the big 4-0. Although, according to The Man himself, he is, "..much younger in comparison.". When he first started, it was with a guy who later went on to become the Ultimate Warrior (Jim Hellwig -- rumor has it that he's legaly changed his name to Warrior..at the bottom of the page is my E-Mail..lemme know what ya'll think about that). At the time, they were trying to get in with the original LOD, Hawk and Animal. They were just awful, horrible wrestlers, so they decided to paint their faces a bit. According to Stig, they had kinda the Rocky Horror Picture Show look at first. Eventually, Sting just carried it off into different colors, personas, and personalities over the years. In 1990, Sting had reconstructive knee surgery on his left knee, but bounced back after just 6 months. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
